        Research and Work Experience
        1. Senior scientist and Project manager, Nanoco Technologies Ltd (01/08-Present)
             Designing the next-generation of solid state lighting devices (e.g. LED, LCD) by using
             nanocrystalline semiconductors (quantum dots, QDs) as light-emitting phosphors. Understanding the 
             physics of luminescent device and applying my quantum dots knowledge plus customers experience
             to develop highly efficient, low-cost light sources is the focus of this work.
        2. Scientist and Project manager, Nanoco Technologies Ltd (10/05-11/07) 
            Working as part of a team developing next-generation of QDs. The position has also involved
            working closely with some specific world-wide very big customers who are currently working on
            quantum dots applications as diverse as solar cell, biological to electronic display etc.
